点评：This is an extraordinary place. On first arriving, I'll admit we were discombobulated; it seemed run down. But, as we wandered round we talked with the owners - who do not take a salary, everything goes to upkeep - and our views changed, a lot.
These birds are all rescues - and that's the ethos. Owls and Birds of Prey born mainly in captivity or shot or injured. This is not a zoo, not a prison - it's a rescue centre and without this place they would be dead or suffering.
Each enclosure is designed for the birds' needs - which are not what you might think. The owners are passionate and know exactly what they're doing and why - and the centre is regularly inspected. They care. A lot. And they are fab with their visitors.
Go, and talk with them. They want you to understand what they're doing. And they're great fun too.
