Historical Village, Vermeer Windmill & Scholte House的点评
点评:The windmill and historical village are together in a tour and the Scholte House can be included as an add on. We decided to just do the windmill and village on this trip and were happy we did. The windmill tour lasts just under an hour and you take an elevator up and stairs down to learn about the people that immigrated here and how the windmill came to be. The windmill was made in the Netherlands and disassembled and shipped. It was them reassembled on site. On part of the windmill(when you go outside onto the top area) you can see the numbers yet that told how to put it back together. The miller explained how the blades work and how this relates to the grinding of the grain they do to make flour. The village has many buildings, close together, that show how the village would have looked at one point in history. They also have a display in one house about Wyatt Earp who lived with his family in the downstairs of the house. Easy walking paths in the village. By the way, your ticket allows you to go in and out all day!
