Worth the price. Plan lots of time
Historical Village, Vermeer Windmill & Scholte House的点评
点评：Very well done museum sits in Pella. The best part of the visit was the windmill tour. Our guide, Laurie, was friendly and knowledgeable and looks like she really enjoys her job. The miniatures were a delightful surprise as we didn’t really know what to expect. Laurie took us into this one large room while the Miller was getting the windmill ready and lo and behold there were 7 different Dutch scenes in miniature with trains.
The Miller was intent on finding some wind in order to run the windmill for us. I was afraid he was gonna fall off the spike as he climbed up to pull the sail out. They’re very dedicated employees.
Historical village was very well done and you could spend as much or as little time as you wanted to browse all the different buildings and exhibits. The gift shop at the museum is phenomenal. I already have a lot of Dutch pottery that I bought in Orange city when I was there for their tulip festival but if you’re looking for a great momento the gift museum shop has it all.
