Rude reception, wouldn't recommend
230 FIFTH ROOFTOP BAR NYC的点评
点评:My partner and I dropped in on Sunday 12th, late afternoon for drinks and possibly dinner. It was my partner's 60th birthday and we were visiting from the UK. We were met by a man at the reception who asked for our ID. After looking through our photos we found copies of our passports to show. On showing my 10 year old document, the rude male receptionist commented "is that really you?!", with a raised eyebrow and a self satisfied smirk. This made me feel very small and self conscious so if that was what he was hoping for, he succeeded. It meant when we got upstairs I was close to tears and no longer in the mood for drinks so we left. It ruined my day and my partner's 60th and I'm still tearful now writing this. I have recently had a hysterectomy so already feel less of a woman than I did but to have a nasty individual confirm that your looks have deteriorated in the last decade to the point that he felt I looked like a different person altogether, was very upsetting. In a world where we should be striving to be kind, his comment was anything but. I wouldn't give him the time of day, let alone a job.
