Great wildlife experience, but extremely awful lodging!
Deramakot Forest Reserve的点评
点评：We saw a great variety of wildlife and amazing birds, except leopards or elephants, so that part was positive! However, getting to the reserve is not simple and the roads are quite challenging at times due to rainfall + logging trucks/vehicles who use this road in addition to the 4x4 safari jeeps.
The absolute shocker are the accommodations and restaurant/lounge! The place cannot be called „basic“ or „comfortable“ by any means! It was dirty, rooms were tiny with hard beds and just a rack with a few coat hangers! Sheets were so worn and stained, it grossed us out! The shower door all but rotted away. For a top wildlife location that’s also costly , this was not worth it in my opinion. Spent 4 nights here and couldn’t wait to leave! The food was mediocre and the lounge snd outside porch area were dirty with trash overflowing from the bins! Unless you don’t care about any of this, it’ll be a fine place to see things, but I wasn’t impressed! I’ve been all over the world and have had my share of basic places, but this was amongst the worst!
