Key West Garden Club的点评
点评：We happened on this beautiful spot while at Higgs Beach. It is nestled next to the African slave cemetery, a historic sight to visit as well.
The building is a former fort, kept in pristine condition with great art on the walls and interesting tidbits on the various rooms inside. We couldn’t believe the admission is free; they do have a donation box which I would encourage you to utilize.
The gardens are filled with a unique assortment of orchids, tropical plants and trees, cactus, some nice backdrops around the fountains and waterfalls, a butterfly garden, a gazebo near the ocean wall, and of course, darling chickens. Grab a water from the gift shop and soak in the scenery on one of the benches.
It’s a nice escape from the crowds when the cruise ships arrive. There are very clean bathrooms near the butterfly gardens, and a little park across the street. Just a neat place to put on your to do list!
