点评:We had some extra time before a scheduled visit at the Blue Lagoon, so we checked this out as it was in the area.
It ended up being a nice change of pace from a lot of the outdoors stuff we'd been doing. There are several museums in the complex - an art museum (which had a pretty interesting exhibit at the time), a geology focused museum, and a heritage museum which had exhibitions on the history of the area (old photos, sewing machines), tons of fishing boat models, and an exhibit about the use of branding on disposable items over time (this may have been a changing one) and what it tells us about life/culture throughout history.
My kids (12 and 14) were maybe a little less interested, but they did seem to enjoy the geology part, and the scavenger hunt through the museum. Overall I enjoyed getting a little taste of some of the history and culture of the area, which is one of the more diverse/working class areas in the country.
