Easy afternoon on the river with young children.

点评：We took our 9 and 7 year olds and hired 2 open canoes to do the 14km route. I must say having read other reviews I was nervous about the distance but I need not have been at all. It was a joyous afternoon spent on the river, and we spent about 2:30 making the journey back, with a couple of short stops. As the weather wasn’t perfect we didn’t manage to do much swimming; which I’m sure might add to the time spent, but all told it was a great time. Administratively it was also seamless; we telephoned on the day to book (maybe if it was hotter this may not have been possible), and arrived with 20 minutes to go. It was easy to organise and the mini bus ride was quick and easy. You get a life jacket and a waterproof barrel for belongings. We wore swimming kit and shoes for getting wet. One thing to note, TAKE CASH. They didn’t have a working card machine and couldn’t do online payments on that day. There are a couple of cafes there as well, so we had a decent lunch beforehand. Highly recommend. And this company is well established.
