A good first stop before exploring Cowra
Cowra Visitor Information Centre的点评
点评：The Cowra Information Centre is that and more, and was a good first stop for our first trip to this region. Apart from brochures & travel info from the helpful staff, the drawcard was the POW hologram theatre - which was screened in a tin replica of a hut found at the POW camp during WWII. The 9-minute screening was told through the eyes of local girl, Claire. This is a must-see if you're planning to venture over to the actual site of the POW camp, in order to get a better understanding of Cowra's history during that time.
The Info Centre also stocked a generous variety of local products from across the region at very reasonable prices. We saw a couple of their items at other outlets for much more, so I'm glad we held off buying anything before coming here. They stocked local wines, jams, relishes, flavoured vinegars, nuts, honey, figs, spice mixes, and prints of the surrounding countryside.
I would recommend the Cowra Info Centre to other travellers, and would be happy to return if I'm in the area again.
