We recently visited for a soft play session and were initially welcomed by a friendly lady at the desk who let us in, even though the session was nearing its end. She kindly assured us we could still enjoy the full two hours since it was quiet, so we paid and settled in.
Shortly after, I went to order food. The young lady at the till took my order without issue, but when she went into the kitchen to process it, she returned and informed me—on instruction from her senior colleague, Kian Heard—that they would not be serving any more food as the kitchen was closed.
This was confusing and frustrating, especially since we had just paid for a two-hour session and were given no indication that food wouldn’t be available. I asked to speak with Kian directly, but he was dismissive, unhelpful, and simply refused to serve me, with no valid explanation or apology.
Thankfully, when I spoke to the supervisor, Lux, she was extremely understanding and clearly disappointed with how the situation had been handled. She confirmed there was no reason why we shouldn’t have been served and kindly offered complimentary tea and coffee as an apology. She handled the situation with professionalism and care—Lux is truly a credit to the establishment.
Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for Kian Heard. His poor attitude and refusal to serve paying customers left a sour impression on what should have been a fun family outing. It’s staff like him that drive customers away.
I won’t be returning as long as staff like Kian are allowed to treat visitors so poorly. Avoid this place unless management takes proper steps to ensure better customer service.
