点评：We were staying in a summer house in Arrild, a place quite close to a lot of wonderful places in Southern Jylland, Haderslev, being one of them. The town of Haderslev, with a population of over 22,000 is the main town and the administrative seat of Haderslev Municipality. The large cathedral, Haderslev Domkirke is a good example of its importance and a sign of the area's wealth. The cathedral has existed in various forms since before the 12th century. The current church, in its present form, was built between 1420 and 1440. Of course, as is always the case, it was added to over the years. Some of its features include the crucifix above the altar which dates from the 1300s, the organ which dates from 1652, and as is typical of these wonderful old churches, these features only scratch the surface. You have to visit these old historical churches to do them justice.
The town has unique collection of houses and buildings dating from the 1400s. There is good parking available just off the main square, park here and take a stroll down the cobbled streets to the city centre where you can explore the many shops and restaurants. Afterwards, buy a ready made lunch at the local grocery store and head down to the city's inner pond.
