点评:As we approached the island by boat we could see a stream of plastics garbage flowing with the tide. When we went to the other side of the island, I thought we were going away from the garbage. We entered the water and started to snorkel. The fish and sea life were incredible. I’ve never seen such a beautiful reef and so many fish but… there were many floating plastic bags and wrappers on and below the surface. We stopped for lunch on the white sanded beach and saw deer and sadly lots of garbage on the shore. When we went to the next stop, I was quite shocked that we jumped into a stream of garbage. Plastic bags and wrappers were abundant hitting my head and mask and everyone else’s including the guide. This experience overshadowed all the beauty of the reef. The marine life is living but I cannot imagine it will be for long if the garbage isn’t addressed. As we drove from Lovina and back, it’s no surprise about the garbage. The dry rivers are used as a dumping ground. Fires of garbage burn along the road. One must ask, what is the government doing about it?
