Fortunately, another member of staff—whose name I unfortunately did not catch—eventually stepped in to assist me. Had this not happened, I would have felt compelled to escalate the matter further at the time by requesting to speak with a manager.
As someone with experience in retail, I understand the importance of delivering a high standard of customer service. I would strongly recommend that this member of staff receives further training to improve their customer service skills and professionalism.
