Surprise at Gaver Tree Farm

点评：Our family has been coming here for over 10 years. We buy our Christmas trees (3 each year) at this farm. We also attend the Fall Fest. Gaver Tree Farm has always advertised that teachers go in free, and they can bring one free child/guest. This year, the rules changed for families only. For a family of four with both parents being teachers, only two go in free, and two pay $20 each. If you, on the other hand are a single parent of one kid, and you're a teacher, both get in free. So, if two unrelated teachers (friends, let say) with one child each go, they get in free of charge. In conclusion, the family of two teachers and two kids is penalized for being a family, and not for being four people, since four other people not part of a family could go in for free. One can surely conclude that Gaver Tree Farm does not care about families. They can enjoy our $40 today, but they lost our future business of $300 in Christmas trees, apple cider doughnuts, apple cider, and all the other business they get from us. We will also tell our friends about our experience. In the end, a $40 fee will cost thousands. Someone thought this was a good business idea, just like Cracker Barrel thought it was good to change their logo.
