WWT Slimbridge Wetland Centre的点评
点评：We visited Slimbridge on a warm weekend in May with primary school age children. There is plenty on the main route to entertain the kids; Welly Boot Land is always a major draw, the play park is fun, and the nenes, otters and flamingos are always popular.
We brought a picnic and used the new picnic area near the cafe, which is very nice. Meals are available at the cafe, or snacks at either of the food pods by Welly Boot Land or the park. There are also vending machines near the flamingo lagoon and the theatre.
Some of the other reviews seem to say it's no longer a good site for adults, but I'd recommend the hides that are a short walk from the main route. A lot of local people have annual passes and bring younger children during the school day, but most of them are likely to focus on the bits of the site nearer the entrance. I'd recommend the Estuary Tower or Kingfisher Hide if you want a quieter place to enjoy the wetlands.
The canoe safari is also a nice extra, costing £10 per canoe for an hour (up to 3 people). It is very restful to be out on the water on a sunny day, but also a lot of fun!
