Vastly inferior to Stradey Park
Parc y Scarlets的点评
点评：It's hard to not compare to the beautiful and perfect Stradey Park. But compared to other modern rugby grounds e.g. Exeter's Sandy Park, Parc y Scarlets is massively inferior. At Stradey, Scarlets / Llanelli had the perfect set up, a set up fans like and want. Seated stands on either side, with standing in front, and standing at both ends, covered at the Pwll End. Any respectful architects and club would have simply copied that as appears to be the case at Exeter. It was small, 10.800, but with acres of ground for increasing that, most obviously at either ends when seating could have been added behind terraces. Instead Parc y Scarlets has a much bigger capacity, and as it's mainly seating it's a much bigger stadium, and consequently the atmosphere is far inferior, even souless, even though the stadium is fully roofed, than Stradey and little different on big nights/games. The facilities at Parc y Scarlets are better but I simply don't care about that. So far down my 'wants' for a good stadium.
There is a small solution and that would be to add in standing at either end, in front of the seating, areas that are at the moment bizarrely empty so the seating is a way from the pitch.
For Llanelli RFC when only one stand is allowed to be opened, it's awful.
