Disappointing Experience and Poor Cnward Support

点评：Very disappointing experience all things considered - it's a shame because the staff were (largely) nice and helpful at the time just unable to take responsibility.
I was charged high-season price (around £1k) for a Day Skipper course in Croatia in October. There was inclement weather while I was there that prevented one and half days of the course, meaning I was eventually marked as 'incomplete' as I hadn't had time to attempt a couple of the manoeuvres and didn't have time to retake some of the ones I hadn't managed. My instructor told me I wouldn't have time to pass on the morning of the last day and we then spent the afternoon sailing around at a leisurely pace not attempting any course content or to make up for lost time despite me only being a couple of elements short.
My class-mates were nice, and fundamentally the trip wasn't a negative experience entirely as Croatia is lovely, but paying around £1000 + travel & meals etc. to not get my qualification leaves a bitter taste in the mouth. At the end, I was told by the instructor I might be able to receive the qualification by doing one day's sailing with a UK-based sailing school to get me over the line and to contact the office team for further assistance with this.
When I got back to the UK I raised this with the sales team who booked me onto the trip and they said they were unable to help me much with the UK school as their UK school 'isn't actually part of Sunsail' and is just a sister sailing school. I was offered the opportunity to spend a (apparently discounted) further £250 spending the weekend in a shared cabin in the Solent to complete my training. For context, there are sailing school offering THE WHOLE QUALIFICATION in the Solent in similar conditions for £399.
