Excellent Trip - Repeat Sunsail Charterer
Sunsail的点评
点评：7th time chartering Sunsail between BVI & Med sails. This trip - group of 10 including 2 children between 5 & 10 years old on a 45' sailing catamaran.
The catamaran was exceptionally clean and well outfitted - including kid netting. It performed flawlessly.
The BVI Sunsail base was quite good - very polite employees all around, GREAT location for pre-provisioning or after arrival.
A minor con: the on-base, required, in-person chart briefing was of little use (and thoroughly out-done by the excellent pre-trip on-line briefing).
A larger con: the technical support team for on-the-water assistance had some internal communication issues. Without going into detail, if there is a problem for which you need their support boat to arrive, assume that there is little to no communication between the rep you talk to on the phone and any actual deployment of assistance on the water. This admittedly based on only one instance where no assistance arrived by the next morning requiring multiple calls that had to start from scratch each time to describe the problem - and this with a Sunsail support boat, unbeknownst to us, sitting only some 10 moorings away that apparently never got notified. Stuff happens.
I will be using Sunsail (or Moorings) in the future!
