点评：We attended the Foo Fighters show at Strawberry Arena in Stockholm, and while the concert itself was amazing, our experience at the venue was deeply disappointing.
My boyfriend, who had not had a single drink all night, approached the bar to order a beer. Because he doesn’t speak English or Swedish, the staff immediately assumed he was drunk and refused to serve him — simply because of a language barrier. I had to intervene and beg them to serve us, explaining that we are Brazilian, we speak Portuguese, and while we do speak some English, it is not our first language.
We traveled here because we love this country and we love this band. That made this experience even more painful. This was not a mistake — this was pure discrimination against someone who didn’t speak the language they wanted to hear.
To make matters worse, when we raised the issue, the manager herself acknowledged that because the staff are very young, they might “do something wrong” with non-English speakers. That is not an acceptable excuse. Refusing to serve someone because of their language is not a youthful mistake — it is prejudice, plain and simple.
I do not recommend this venue to anyone, especially not to foreign visitors who love Sweden and come here in good faith.
