Marietta Museum Of Art And Whimsy的点评
点评：I experienced the Marietta Museum of Whimsy with my sister this week and LOVED it ! It had a large collection of fanciful, colorful, unexpected and varied pieces. I especially wanted to view the collection of highwaymen paintings on display. It was the largest collection I had ever seen in one place !
There was stained glass. Pottery, blown glass, mixed media, metal sculptures, jewelry, beadwork, and so much more. It is a must see for artists. It's a very fun, joyful museum for children (17 and under are FREE) there was an interactive video projection room which turned the moving image of each guest into a piece of artwork! The outdoor garden was impressive as was the gem and jewelry case inside the cafe. There are many places to sit and rest throughout. The day we toured was the founder, Mary Lee's 80 birthday. We were able to meet and chat with her. They served cake and ice cream in her honor. It was a full of wonder visit punctuated with delightful surprises around every corner it will take 3 or 4 visits to see all that is displayed. It was inspirational and made me want to go home and paint ! I will definitely return to this fantastical setting. There is plenty of free parking. Don't wait, just go! (Open Nov-May)
