点评:Though built in the 1930s, this is definitely not a good walking course. It’s very up-and-down and there’s a couple holes where you have a surprisingly long drive in a golf cart similar to what you see in residential housing development projects having golf courses except there’s no housing around.
The setting was beautiful, which was nice, but some areas of the fairway were naked dirt. There is only three tee boxes,…..they did blend tees to get more variety but the seniors and ladies tees are very long 5300 yard , one par three required a 140 over water….People playing the yellow tees need to be able to drive the ball almost 200 yards to get on in regulation for many of the holes
It’s a tough course, very bumpy, no areas where the ball is not on a hill, the fairways are tight, and the greens are well protected with sand traps. For some ahead of us was very slow. We ended up taking 5 1/2 hours to play. Called the clubhouse about a Marshall and they said there was one available, but no one ever came to discuss with these people to allow us to play through. We ended skipping one of the holes to get past them to finish as quick as we did.
I saw this course is rated number 12 in Canada and if that’s the case, I am very surprised. I reminded me of a municipal course in rural Missouri, which is my native state not a top 20 golf course of a country. The size of Canada.
