A special experience at a very special place

点评：We were already thrilled by the landscapes of Shark Bay while exploring them on the ground, but seeing this magnificent place from above and thereby revisiting some of the locations you previously came by, adds a whole new layer to the experience and really helps you to better grasp the scope of the area. We started our flight towards Useless Loop and it's salt mines, crossed over Steep Point, turned north across Dirk Hartog Island and headed over to Cape Peron and back towards Denham from there, also passing by Big Lagoon at the final stages of the trip. Manos, our pilot, was a really nice guy and did a great job - both at piloting and at introducing us to the special features around and below. He was also part of the very small ground crew who operated the Shark Bay Airport, which is a sight of it's own. This flight also is some kind of marine safari in a way, since you can easily spot wildlife in the rather shallow and crystal clear waters of the bay. The colour palette between the red desert and the blue and turquoise sea is nothing short of incredible, even though the sky was a little cloudy on the day of our flight. When it's all bathed in sunlight, it must look completely unreal.
