点评:I loved it here, so beautiful. You can spend the day just exploring the fort.
I have no interest in the shops.
On the fort walk, I met a guide (Faizal) who was selling tablecloths and showing coins that have been discovered...none of this interested me in the slightest, nor many other ppl, bless.
However, we had a good chat for about an hour. A really nice bloke and very knowledable. A lot of facts and dates from the top of his head. He started telling me about the fort for free. Also, he discussed the tsunami and the impact.
I didn't buy anything ftom him ( no tablecloths needed) or do any of his guides or tours but he didn't insist. Before our chat, it was made clear they were not for me I was not doing anything less than local buses.
However, if they are for you, he is some 50 odd year old by the clock tower eearing a red hat..seems guinuine. He even offered to fetch me cheap beers if i wanted from a place cheaper than cargills that the locals use.
Anyways, the fort is a beautiful place, especially at sunset, where it comes alive with kites, families, people and the sun set. I sat on a rooftop drinking a beer and admired it all. Loved it.
P.s The Dutch cafe do the most amazing cheese omelette with strawberry milkshake. I had this for my breakfast on my arrival.
