Bioluminescence Walk

点评：We didn’t really know what to expect when we booked the walk but it was an absolute highlight of our holiday and we felt so lucky that the experience fell on one of the nights of our stay. It was easy to book online and the information sent was comprehensive. We travelled by bus from St Helier and found the meeting spot. We were able to hire wellies and borrow walking poles, and could leave our trainers etc in the van.
Derek and Trudy were fabulous guides, making sure that we were all safe in the dark and well briefed throughout. It was a beautiful evening and when the clouds cleared Derek pointed out Jupiter, Mars, the Milky Way and various star constellations. The bioluminescence was just fascinating and a very special experience. We even picked up the glow worms and they continued to flow and flash! And we wrote our initials in a glowing trail on the seabed! It’s definitely something we will talk about for years to come.
An hour and a half of exploring later we got the last bus back. We appreciated Derek checking his phone and letting us know the bus was en route. A couple of days later we passed the same walking spot in the daytime when the tide was out, and this made us appreciate the skill of the guides even more - a lunar like landscape of rocks which they navigate so well!
