Iznik Museum的点评
点评：Iznik Museum is re-opened in a totally new building. The old building still serves as a museum under the name "İznik Nilüfer Hatun İmareti Museum" and it hosts mainly ethnographic exhibits.
As for the new Iznik Museum, it is located in a pretty contemporary building, a bit meaningless as it has no architectural connection with the region nor with the history of the region. The museum has a pretty impressive archeology collection which is quite normal given the rich history of the area but unfortunately curation of the museum is very old fashioned and undistinguished. The management of the museum is no better: no museum shops, no museum books, no leaflets, nothing....
I traveled to this town only to visit this new museum but unfortunately it did not meet my expectations at all.
