Great night at the dog track, but give the curry a wide berth

点评：Great venue, really clean and tidy restaurant etc, outside very tired but that didn’t spoil our enjoyment. Staff all really pleasant, cheerful, friendly and all very welcoming.
Drinks were reasonably priced
Unfortunately we booked the curry night….. starter was excellent but unfortunately the curry wasn’t curry. 🤢
It was a “chicken curry” made with fresh chicken and a random sauce flavoured entirely from curry powder 🤮🤮🤮.
That sh*t should have been ended when the 70’s ended!
Unfortunately I could smell the curry powder when the waitress was 20 steps away bringing our food, it’s got a distinct smell all of its own and it can linger in your nostrils long after the so called curry has been and gone. I tried to eat it but two mouths full was two mouths full too much. Even my wife agreed there was no real curry ingredients in the curry, just that nasty smelling, nasty tasting powder!
It’s also advertised with a drink included for £23 but no drinks was offered by the waitress . That’s not a lot of money to spend on a meal out on a Saturday night but Spooners do a fantastic curry with a pint for less than half the price
To be fair it didn’t ruin the night, we had a great time and will definitely be back but not for the curry!

平心而论，这并没有毁了我们的夜晚，我们玩得很开心，以后肯定还会再来的，但不是为了咖喱！
