点评:Unfortunately, it was a very cold day so most of the animals were "in torpor" which meant the bear in the name was not visible and some of the others were tucked away to stay warm but the animals that were out-and-about were fun to watch. The otter alone was worth the price of admission (it is free) and immensely entertaining. He (?) spent the better part of the half-hour I watched him preening for the audience. Watching the critter do a back flip off the edge of his pool and slice through the water only to leap from the water on the other end, dash around the pool as quickly as he could make it and repeat the performance. Every once in a while it would stop to make certain someone was watching and then continue on his retinue.
The raptors were alert and fascinating to watch and, surprisingly so were many of the reptiles on a cold day.
This place is small w/ limited "rescued" animals but good and explanatory signage and a fun way to spend an hour or so if anywhere near the area. It is also a fun place for kids as several were braving the chilly weather to enjoy watching nature.
