点评:Since it was my last day in the city, I decided to see the end of Calle El Conde instead of walking back to my Guest House. Generally, I would walk towards the Parque Colon where most attractions in Zona Colonial are located.
Towards the end of the Calle El Conde is this attraction. Lining up the street leading to the white building are busts of men and women who contributed to the independence of the country. Inside the white building are statues of 3 men: Duarte, Sanchez, and Mella. At the lower level, is their tomb, with perpetual light.
Outside, there are benches located under the trees. There is also a statue of Dona Manuela Diez de Duarte, presumably the wife of Duarte.
I enjoyed my visit here. Free to enter!
