Thai Secret Cooking School的点评
点评：Our family is on a year long 'World trip' and while visiting Chiang Mai, decided it would be fun to attend a cooking class for my Husband's birthday.
After researching numerous options, May's school came up in a Reddit search. I looked into things a bit more and found her web site. This was the point, I knew May would be the right person to teach us about Thai cooking.
From her site...
"I teach one class per day. You will learn Thai cooking from me and only me. Thai Secret is Not a multiple class facility and is Not owned by an agency, or travel company. The only way to book my class is with me."
Wow, this was exactly what our family wanted to experience! So we reached out and May responded quickly and she provided some options to fit us into her schedule.
On the day of our class, we were picked up at our hotel and met May, a confident, interesting, well spoken and overall nice person. She interacted with us and our kids with interest. We felt at ease with her and her genuine nature.
On our way to the class, we stopped at a local market and she showed us around all the vegetables, sauces and ingredients that we needed for the class. She taught us the things we need to consider when we are back at home.
We arrived at the class and started to work. We picked ingredients from the garden and prepared the other ingredients for each of our dishes. Since we attended a 1/2 day course, some of the ingredients were measured out for us, but we still needed to prepare them!
May showed our kids (10 & 12) how to hold a knife, cut and prepare the dishes with confident instruction. She kept the kids and us on schedule and our 5 hour school was over before we knew it.
This class was one of the highlights of our trip and we are grateful to have been taught how to cook Thai food with May.
If you are thinking of a cooking school and actually want to learn something about Thai cooking, while in Chiang Mai, look no further than this school. You won't be disappointed.
