点评：There are experiences you plan, and then there are experiences that quietly rearrange something inside you. Our night with Jorge Corante in the Atacama was the latter.
Standing under a sky so dense with stars it almost felt unreal, watching the Milky Way arch from one end of the horizon to the other — with my wife beside me and absolute silence all around — I felt something I hadn’t expected: a kind of peaceful smallness. The desert strips everything away, and what’s left above you is overwhelming in the most beautiful sense.
Jorge made it all the more extraordinary. His passion for astronomy isn’t performed — it radiates. He explained the stories behind the constellations, the mechanics of what we were seeing, the distances our minds can barely hold, all with a patience and warmth that made even the most complex ideas feel accessible and alive. He never rushed. He was genuinely happy to be there, under those stars, sharing all of it with us.
