点评:It was indeed a tough hike as we started off from the Halls Gap on the Grampians Peak trail from where the distance was somewhat longer covering almost 9.6 km. Day was cool around 10 degrees, so needed some warm clothing but as the momentum gathered, we found it uncomfortable to keep them all. Terrain was rugged and exhausting almost compelling us to turn back after reaching the Grand Canyon. We needed a lot of water to keep the thirst and dehydration at bay. At times thigh muscles became stiff and felt like they were about to freeze owing to dehydration. Determination to achieve kept our spirits high and finally we reached the pinnacle passing The Splitter falls, Bridal Veil falls, Cool chamber and walking through the weathered stony corridor which appeared like a mini gorge called the “Silent Street”. Views from the Pinnacle was gorgeous with Lake Bellfield being part of the vista. Halls Gap and the valley beyond were within the horizon. We were able to see a span of Western Victoria. The Pinnacle was surrounded by many scary cliffs. It was a grand picturesque site.
