Very Good Tour with Albatross

点评：I booked this tour from the Guide to Greenland website. There are several tour operators that offer this trip. I chose the one offered by Albatross because they had a lot of indoor seating. I was very happy with my choice as the trip was very comfortable with a nice bathroom. (In contrast, I almost froze on a night tour of the ice field where we had to sit outside.)
The trip was from 9:00 - 3:00. You spend about two hours traveling there, two hours around the glacier and two hours on the return. On our trip we could only get within 7 Km of the glacier due to the ice. They told us that some days you can get within 1 Km. While I would like to have gotten closer the overall view was quite impressive.
A very good lunch was included in the price of the tour. Our tour guide, Wilhelmina, was also very good. She explained a few things about the glacier and answered a lot of questions about Greenland in general.
We were very lucky as we had two whale sightings on the tour. The crew made a significant effort looking for whales and got very close to a mother and baby. I’ve seen whales before but had never been this close to them.
If you’re thinking about doing the Eqi trip I highly recommend booking with Albatross.
