点评:Once we arrived in Taos, we decided to visit Williams Lake the next day. After checking the reviews, we saw that it had snowed two days before. Being in our sixties, and just moderately fit, with a bit of hesitation, we decided to challenge ourselves and go regardless of conflicting reviews. Thankfully we had our poles and our hiking boots.
1. The slope is not too bad and is very gentle
2. The view is not much while you are going through the forest which is 3/4 of the way
3. After parking at the base, there was no clear mark to the trail
4. The trail is not marked clearly, especially at the beginning. once you get a bit further if you are on the right track (we were not but luckily ran into people who directed us into the right path) it would get easier.
5. once you get to the boulders and the lake, the scenery becomes more interesting.
In conclusion, go for the beautiful ride (fall colors made it gorgeous), the clean air, the exersise and the lovely view at the top.
