Spode Museum的点评
点评：What a terrible waste of our time. Looked at the website which said open 7 days a week 10am to 4pm. We arrived luckily it was a free car park for two hours or I would have been very annoyed. We wandered around and around looking for a way in, nothing obvious. We could see people in the building with Spode written on it so I rang the bell. A young lady came to the door and I asked how do we get into the Spode factory shop? She said "what is Spode?" I said you are joking? She said maybe the security office knows. We spotted some toilets on the way to the office and I made the mistake of going. Oh my goodness, they were filthy. The workmen on the site next door are using them. It was disgusting so I gave it a miss. We spotted a building but a Polish lady said it was the vack of a hotel!! We went into the security office and asked where the Spode factory shop was he looked blank at us. Luckily there was a guy in the back office from the council. He explained that the museum, a small building we had not even seen was closed till Wednesday, not what the website says. I had a rant and said how disappointed we were to come all the way from Wales for nothing. He said imagine how the people of Stoke feel! He did say that Portmerion owned Spode which we knew and that the quality was now terrible. Also that the head of the Spode museum was busy buying up all the old Spode on Ebay and at auction for tge museum.
