点评:We found this park by mistake, but it turned out to be a huge blessing. The boardwalk along the Cotee River makes you feel like a step back in time to how Florida must have looked hundreds of years ago. There is a beautiful covered fishing pier, shelters, an accessible dock and kayak launch (parking and road is made of hard packed white shell semi-rough surface if using small wheels), and a playground with an interesting StoryWalk. Great place to get in some steps or relax with a book in a peaceful setting at this 80 acre preserve. There is a Phase 3 trail that we want to go back and hike next time. p.s. the large limb that had fallen across our path happened before we got there and someone said later on FB that Parks and Recreation cleaned it up quickly! They had a storm in the area earlier that morning before we had gotten there. The park is beautifully maintained. It's about 30 miles northwest of Tampa. Try to go when the road is dry, because there are a few dips that will splash the white residue up onto your car. It washes off easily and we look forward to going again soon!
