The road was covered in snow, visibility changed quickly, and the cold was intense—but the views were absolutely unreal. Towering snow walls, frozen landscapes, and complete silence made the journey feel surreal.
I was traveling as part of a structured Ladakh itinerary, and honestly, having professional support made all the difference. The planning, timing, and safety checks were handled well, which is crucial for a winter crossing like this. Our journey was part of a WanderOn Ladakh Tour Package, and that ensured experienced drivers, proper coordination, and no unnecessary risks.
Zoji La is not something I’d recommend doing casually in winter, but if you’re prepared and guided properly, it becomes one of the most memorable parts of the Ladakh route.
