点评:There's 3 areas with petroglyphs on Cub Creek Road. Swelter Shelter is 1/2 mile from the Visitor Center & is a .1 walk to a small panel.
There's 2 areas past the paved part of the road. When the road forks, go left. The signage is good. The road is gravel & not bad at all. Saw a lot of cars driving it.
The first panel is well signed & a short walk to the panel. It's very nice, but TURN around & look UP. You'll see more on a higher cliff! A sign warns you not to attempt to climb up.
The second panel is the big one. There's a fairly generous pull off, but it fills up. We were there around 2pm & there were quite a few cars.
You can see some of the petroglyphs from the road. Binoculars help. I walked up & I do mean UP. This is a .3 mile trail T&B, so it isn't very long. Might be too strenuous for some people. The panel is long. It extends to the end of the cliff. It has a Kokopeli & some lizards. Other forms of people. Very interesting. Well worth stopping.
