Let us down -should have been better
Harbour Beer House的点评
点评：On arrival we were shown to a terrace table and offered drinks. I preset a shandy using the pilsner offered and my husband had a pint of it too. Kids had drinks from sealed drinks (orange and a coke). When our drinks arrived the lager and our table water all had bits in and had to be sent back and replaced due to bits in them from dirty glasses. No problem- replaced immediately with apologies.
We ordered starters and mains. The starters arrived quite quickly and were delicious.
The mains dishes took ages to arrive and our waitress reassured us several times they were on there way even though they took forever. A quick drop in for a dinner turned into a 3 hour dinner which was not acceptable. We we offered free desserts although the boys had waited too long and were fed up. My daughter and I did stay for a free dessert although the choice as limited to 4 on the menu and theses were just ok, nothing stunning unfortunately. These also took an age to reach us. So long I started a count down to us leaving if they arrived or not.
With a minute to go they turned up.
The waiting staff were fab and friendly and brought us blankets as it began to chill. They were let down by the slow kitchen service.
It turned into a very expensive evening meal that let us down on so many levels!
I would check how many are being served. We watched so many others get their full meal and leave before we got our starters or mains!
I feel that in Charleston there are so many lovely restaurants by the water we make a mistake picking probably the most expensive one and could have had a much better and less expensive meal down by the water.
