点评:Most of the museum was closed to the public, while a change of exhibitions took place. As a result, only a few pieces from the permanent (presumably) collection were open to the public, but they charged a minimal entrance fee as a result.
Brief visit, but some very choice pieces, well curated into themes: windmills, nature.
The pieced organdy Iranian wall hanging was a personal favorite. Props to the artist for the patience that required.
BTW, I’ve volunteered at a local art museum at home for many years. For those complaining about restricted admission, please understand, changing out exhibitions is a major proposition. It requires days of packing the old one up safely, prepping the galleries as needed, carefully photographing and documenting the new exhibition as it’s unpacked (so it can be repacked identically), writing gallery cards, measuring pieces and walls so they are properly hung. You don’t just snap your fingers and a new exhibition is hung overnight. Just accept that sometimes you’re gonna hit a museum at a time that’s inconvenient to you. It can’t be helped, unless you’re a museum that keeps the same pieces up forever and ever, amen.
