点评：Gangchon Rail Park was a fun and different way to spend some time outdoors. Our visit was part of a day tour including Nami island and other locations. The activity involves pedaling a rail car on a disused rail line along a scenic route through the countryside and alongside a river. It’s a nice mix of light exercise and taking in the views. It was enjoyable for our mixed family group. .
The route itself is peaceful and picturesque. You’ll pass through a few tunnels that add some variety with lights, music and other features. The pedaling section ends with a transfer to an open-sided train, where you can sit back and enjoy the ride to the final destination.
One thing to note is that the park operates on a schedule, so you’ll be part of a group of rail cars moving together. It’s well-organized, but it also means you can’t stop for photos or set your own pace.
Another thing to note is that visiting is best done in the nicer weather months (I definitely wouldn't recommend it in wet or winter months).
