点评:My spouse and I did a self-guided 2-hour hike around Ramsvikslandet with a loosely organized group of scientists in the area for a conference. The landscape tells a dramatic Ice Age story, if you know what to look for. The area is dominated by wide expanses of bare, largely flat rock that display fascinating evidence of glaciation (eg striations in the direction of ice movement; roche moutonée (sheepback) formations with plucking of rock from leeward slopes) and post-glacial meltwater movement (eg deep potholes and rounded, wavelike rock forms). Sweeping views over the wide Skagerrak strait are juxtaposed with tiny tundra-like plants clinging to life in the cracks and hollows. If you go at low tide you can also see fascinating tiny marine worlds in the intertidal zone. But beware black rocks, they are dangerously slippery! Farther inland, some of the trails take you up into some impressive boulder-strewn hills. One trail that we took winds between some fairly tall outcrops and eventually leads you through a fairy-like glen of trees and out into cow pastures and small picturesque farm buildings before linking back to the few small roads that cross the landward part of the island.
