What a disappointment

点评：What a shock to find the cafe is no more! You buy your coffee and cake in takeaway form from the shop and have to take your tray and cafe purchases out into the open and find your own way indoors to the cafe! Good job it wasn't raining or windy! No more delightful goats cheese and walnut salad with gorgeous bread and other meals. What on earth has happened?
I don't appreciate the paper cup and plastic lid with oblong cardboard 'plate' to put my cake on. There's no proper structure to take away a cake slice, other than a paper bag and cardboard plate. That wouldn't travel well.
It's a do it yourself system now and the ambience has gone, three customers were there on what should have been the busiest time of the week. Next to no plants outdoors. Are they closing down? Apparently not, but you could be forgiven for thinking so.
If the change was going to be this dramatic I think they should have indicated so on their website? They do say :
"The cafe has moved into the shop for the winter. We hope this will be temporary and when the summer comes we’ll be back in our usual spot"
They don't indicate the huge change and accompanying disappointment here. Perhaps they should move the shop produce into the potting shed as they call it and use the shop as a cafe, at least it would introduce some character indoors. But to give us no notice that you can expect your coffee in takeaway and cake on cardboard plates is a real turn off.
Do management really think that collecting your refreshments and walking outside with a tray until you can access indoors is really the way to go? What if it's raining? Snowing? Windy? With children? With dogs? I think it's been poorly thought out. Perhaps better to close the cafe down, ask for support from regulars that have been going for years, with shop purchases. I don't think the takeaway approach is going to work. The ambience has gone and that's such a shame. I've been going for years.

“咖啡馆冬季期间搬到了店里。我们希望这只是暂时的，夏天到来时，我们会回到原来的位置。”
他们没有提及这巨大的变化以及随之而来的失望。或许他们应该把店里的农产品搬到他们所谓的“花房”里，然后把店面改成咖啡馆，至少这样能给室内增添一些特色。但是事先没有任何通知就告诉我们咖啡只能外带，蛋糕只能用纸板盘子装，这真的让人很反感。
管理层真的认为让顾客拿着托盘走到外面，直到可以进店才能取餐是最佳方案吗？如果下雨怎么办？下雪怎么办？刮风怎么办？带着孩子怎么办？带着狗怎么办？我觉得这个方案考虑得太不周全了。或许更好的办法是关掉咖啡馆，让那些多年来一直光顾的老顾客在店里消费来支持他们。我觉得外带模式行不通。店里的氛围没了，真是太可惜了。我可是光顾这家店好几年了。
