点评:visit 3-4 times a year so here are a few tips.... first section from the Dolgellau roundabout is all in forest and a bit dull. Better to park at Penmaenpool and go from there; this is a beautiful spot (with a toilet plus the George III hotel and the toll bridge). It's about 40 mins walk to the first view of Barmouth bridge. The hotel does good coffee although you should probably book for food. It is 'dog friendly' so noisy, but walk five minutes to the other end of the lagoon and all is peaceful.
Alternatively park at Arthog or Morfa Mawddach (also has a toilet). From there you can walk across Barmouth bridge into Barmouth, or follow the path across the salt marsh to Fairbourne. If it is in season you can make a loop from the Fairbourne side; walk to the Harbour station of the Fairbourne railway (or ride their little train) and then get the ferry to Barmouth. Then walk back across the Barmouth bridge to where you parked. (or even get the train from Barmouth to Morfa Mawddach).
it's all fabulously scenic, and the southern side of the estuary is much quieter than Barmouth.
