Parking so difficult in Newcastle

点评：I regularly visit Newcastle and always call in to Eldon square.
There's a very good range of shops and it's a clean and comfortable environment.
I usually travel by bus but today travelled in my partners car.
We haven't been by car for a number of years and found the parking situation in Newcastle to be terrible.
The car park we used to park in next door to the strawberry no longer seems to be a car park.
We drove into 3 different car parks and had to come out of all of them as you could only pay by your phone.
My partner didn't have his phone so we couldn't park.
We eventually left Newcastle and drove to the Metrocentre, where parking was easy.
I really think Councils are making it too difficult to park in city centres, which makes people shop in places like the metrocentre and outlets.
I have friends who refuse to shop in Newcastle because of the parking.
If the council want drivers to shop in Newcastle and Eldon square, make it easy for them.

We also intended to go to the Mela but parking there was by phone too.
