点评:The Town is quaint, clean and deserved a 2 days stay. The Hotels are decent, but not extravagant. There are not too many options though. Our office group had stayed at Hotel Sai Ma, right at the location of the entrance arch to the town. The Restaurants in the Hotel do not serve many dishes on the menu card, hence it is advisable to eat what they can cook and serve! Do not try to eat what they may experiment with :)
The shops supply basic amenities and utilities. Local travel with auto Rikshaws/ Tumtums is convenient. One may purchase good cotton outfits (most available for men) in white. That is the unspoken dress code to visit the Temple. The quality and stich is good and lasts long.
Do check the Temple timings well in advance - The temple opens access at 4.30 am and closes at 7.30 am . Opens again at 4.30 pm and closes doors at 6.30pm. the Ashram side however is open all day. Avoid Sundays as crowds and devotees from surrounding areas and Bangalore throng the premises.
Apart from the Temple there is not much to look around!
Language is a HUGE barrier with the locals. Hindi is understood , English also may be acceptable.
