点评：We have just returned home to the Fenlands and Flatlands of Lincolnshire, from Brontë Country of Haworth, West Yorkshire.
This trip was, without doubt, capped off with a ‘cream on the cake’ Hawk Walk experience at your centre.
On arrival we were introduced to Steven, our very knowledgeable expert guide and the star of the show ‘Henry’ the Harris Hawk.
My wife and I were joined
by volunteer Jennifer, who was gaining knowledge prior to having her own bird.
The combination of Steven’s astounding knowledge, Jennifer’s in depth questioning and our own natural curiosity and ‘willing to learn’ approach made this the most unforgettable experience, set within the landscape of God’s Country!
Henry was a reluctant participant initially as, due to a shoulder injury, I attempted our interaction with a right handed glove. Suffice to say, Henry was not in an ‘adaptable’ mood but when Steven lent me his own left handed glove - Henry was back in his comfort zone and provided us both with a totally unforgettable experience.
I have had a lifelong interest in birds of prey and am only sorry that I left it so long to have such a close up experience.
Now we have found you, we both very much look forward to repeating our experience in the future.
Special thanks to Steven and Henry - and of course the rest of the team - who made this experience possible.
