点评:Glad I visited, but both my husband and I felt like we shouldn't have risked it.
Many times, we had to choose between hilly narrow paths near a small cliff, and stepping on wet stones in the creek. We are both 67 years old and fit, but we can't afford to fall at our age.
Wear comfortable shoes that can get muddy and wet.
We found the (maybe 15?) flights of wood and mud steps to be manageable both on the way down to the flame and on the way back up, but we crossed paths with a younger, overweight person who found the climb back up challenging.
The trail to the flame is very well-marked, numbered from 1-20, so it's difficult to get lost.
Port-a-potty in the Eternal Flame parking lot; no thank you. This is a very large park; there might be a normal restroom in another section of the park. If you don't see the sign for Eternal Flame Parking Lot, you're in the wrong section of the park.
We're glad we brought water bottles on this hike. It is supposedly only .56 miles in each direction, but much uphill walking and many flights of stairs. Almost completely shaded by trees.
