Roseberry Topping的点评
点评：Drove to Roseberry Topping early as I read that that the pay National Trust car park was small and busy. Thankfully we arrived around 10.30am and got one of the last car parking spaces. We wanted to stay for a while so the parking fee (by card , no cash) was £6.
The weather was amazing, clear blue skies and quite warm. I think we took the hardest way up which is mostly good steps, steep stone steps and gravel. It took us around an hour which isn't bad considering one of us is 72.
The views on the way up and at the top are spectacular, especially if you have your binoculars. It was very busy at the top. We walked a different way down which was steep steps then a more gentle slope in the middle and the final steep steps at the bottom , took around 50 minutes.
Because of the weather the whole place was really busy. Ice cream van and coffee van in the car park. The toilets were open and clean.
On the way out quite a few cars mustn't have been able to get parked in the car park and were parked on the double yellows on the road outside the car park. Two traffic wardens were busy ticketing all the cars, had to be in excess of 12 cars. This was a Sunday. So make sure you have alternative parking plans in case the car park is full
