点评：During this trip, my wife and I finally got to experience snow for the first time ever in our lives and one of the things in our to- do lists is to go snowmobiling. There are a lot of other providers of this service but I wanted to go with White Isle after seeing that they had options of riding in tandem (since my wife didn’t want to operate one herself) and getting a bigger engine (cc) option for the snowmobile.
Unfortunately, I was not able to fully enjoy the potential of their Yamaha Venture snowmobile since we were on the same trip with a family bringing along a child. To make the most of our situation, I extended the gap between our snowmobile and the other snowmobiles so I could try to go full throttle in long straight stretches. These only last a few seconds since the pace of the front group was crawling for the safety purposes (I guess).
This was my first time on a snowmobile. They have a 5-10minute crash course close to the start point. I got to pick it up easily since operating a snowmobile is somewhat similar to operating a personalize watercraft (jetski/waverunner). If you’re not that confident on this type of vehicle, they also have lesser powerful snowmobiles. These are much smaller in size as well and are lesser intimidating since it has a lower height.
Despite this, I still enjoyed the experience and would be willing to do it again. For the next time, I think I will opt for the longer duration and slightly more expensive private tour so I can go at the pace I want.
I booked through their website and got in touch with them months before our trip. Chiba was very accommodating and addressed all my queries prior to the trip.
