Beautiful Winery on a Tuscan Hillside...Amazing wines

点评：Amazing winery, bit of an experience getting there as google maps took us the hilly way but we were glad we made it. The property is beautiful and the winery is excellent.
We did a tour and tasting. The tour was great, our guide was well versed and answered all our questions. They pre-gamed the tour with a sparkling wine and then it was off to the cellars and the vineyard to see the processes and the grapes. We tried some of their Sangiovese Whites during the tour and then it was on the the the tasting room for the rest of the tastings. The room was nice and the wines were wonderful. we did not go to the Chianti region thinking about whites but we shipped a case of them home. Reds were good as well and the grappa was a good ending. we tasted 7 wines throughout the tour.
I would definitely recommend making the trip to visit Poggio al Sole. just make sure you go the route on the Via Passignano through the small town with the castle. That was, though still dirt and an extra 5-10 min, is much flatter than the other way to the winery.
